How to renew SSL certificate on Horizon view connection server

Issue certificate from Active Directory Certificate Template

(open mmc and add certificate template)

Create a duplicate template of web server

Assign a name

From the security tag grant the permission to enrol certificate to connection server( This is for computer account)

Open ADCS and issue this template

Login to the connection server and open mmc

Add certificates mmc(computer account)

Select Active Directory Enrolment policy

Select the certificate template which we have issued

Select the common name and add fqdn of the connection server. We can add subject alternative names also

In below screen cap, we can see two certificate. The certificate which will expired on 11/4/2020 is the one we have issued now.

Open the old certifcate

Go to the details tab

Click on Edit Properties and cut the Friendly name(vdm)

Paste the friendly name to new certicate’s

Restart horizon view services
