How to recover root password of vCenter appliance

Reboot vcneter server appliance & connect to the vm console

Press “e” while its rebooting

Add below highlighted string to the line which is starts with linux

Reboot the server

---

---

It will boot with root user

Type passwd

It will prompt to change the password

Type umount /

Reboot the server
