VMWare direct SAN lun access via FC to the vm

To give san lun to physical host/vm via FC we need to have a wwn addresses.Bydefault vm doesn’t have a wwn addresses.To enable fc connectivity we have to follow the below addresses

1.Shut down the vm and go to the settings page

1. Go to the options page > Select “Fiber channel NPIV” > Select “Generate new WWNs” from right hand side > Click on “ok” and reopen the same page

1. Now we can see “WWN” addresses are available

1. Deselect “Temporarily disable NPIV for this virtual machine” > Click on “ok” >
2. Now from the SAN we can allow direct lun access to this virtual machine
